This Detective's Office is the cluttered workspace of the station's unstable trusty detective, located right outside a hive of scum and villainy. The lower section is a classic detective office straight out of those film noir movies, where a distressed madam barges into the private eye's office, whereupon the protagonist proceeds to spout some a monologue with very quotable lines. For differentiation, there is a records cabinet and camera monitor in the scene.
The upper section is a more utilitarian office that contains important detective tools such as a desktop lamp and booze. It also has a wide range of forensic tools that in theory are used to solve crime, which are detailed in the Detective page.
Maintenance Information
It does not have its own air vent, but it can receive air from the vent in the Bar connected to West Emergency Air Hookup
The APC for this room is located in a maintenance corridor right of it. In fact, it is just outside the room where all the forensics equipment is.
The power is supplied via a cable in that same corridor.

This is the cluttered office of the station's unstable trusty detective, appropriately located next to a dump and the house of the second slippest bastard on the station. The lights are technically malfunctioning, but the Detective doesn't want to get better bulbs because it's apparently not a very "noir" thing to do. It contains important detective tools such as a desktop lamp and booze. It also has a wide range of forensic tools that in theory are used to solve crime.

It was a dark day on the ship that never sleeps. The Detective's Office was standing beside the company clothing store, idle as the Captain, when suddenly the Detective drunkenly stumbled into through the door, back from an intense interrogation of Stinkeye at the local dive. Their teetering from their lack of teetotalism triggered the low tones of a synthesizer, played by a pianist whose hands are addled by morphine and whose mind is addled by the paranoia and isolation of a life ten thousand leagues under an alien sea...
The Detective Office in the lower west/port/left section of the ship, across the hall from Garbage Garbs and below the Ranch, is where the Detective can act out their fantasy of being a hard-boiled private eye. Thanks to mapping magic, you'll hear a custom jazz track whenever you're in this room, and everything here is designed to look like it's straight out of a film noir.
Take for example the desk in the center: here, the Detective can calmly smoke cigarettes/cigars while listening to the distressed dame who knocks at their door and dramatically push important-looking papers under the desk lamp. Right beside it are a non-functional/non-interactive, cheap, old-school ceiling fan and a jukebox for playing jazzy tunes that wouldn't be out of place in a mystery film. On the room's left is a file cabinet with the Security records, an old-school style camera monitor that looks like it's from the Space '50s for stakeouts, an iconic red rotary phone that actually is from the '50s, and a bottle of Bo Jack Daniel, a hard drink for the hard-boiled.
Not everything looks so film-noir-y as the things in this room though, so there's a separate room below this, called the Detective's Bedroom for storing their less glamorous tools and devices, namely their forensics gear.

Few can bear the air mixed with the smells of cigarettes, strong booze, and the Disposals center to the left of this Detective's Office in the general northwest of the station. Engineering's gas storage right across the hall probably doesn't do it any favors, either, and neither does the Medbay down the hall. It's just generally a foul-smelling place for a foul-smelling private investigator, basically. This particular office has the main office to the south, containing the majority of the detective's gear, while the north part is the office so that the detective can meet with the crew... whether for good or for ill.
Maintenance Information
There is no air vent. It could really, really use one.
The APC is on the north wall of the visitor's section, so that when the detective gets tired of pretending the lights running out is thematic and good, they can call in an engineer.
