Just like in real life and other video games, healing is hard work. That's why there's a Medbay Staff Area in the right/east parts of Medbay (in a way, in the "back", if you consider the lobby to be the front and go eastward) for the Medical Doctors and other medical staff to enjoy some nice downtime.
And they can spend said downtime in many ways. They might enjoy some vending machine cuisine from the snack machine or enjoy a good drink from the coffeemaker or drink machine. They might sit back on the couch and play with the stuffed bear, or they might stand close to admire Jimmy, the stunningly and rather worringly realistic skeleton the Medical Director created. They might gather around the television and watch what's going on in virtual reality and other parts of the ship. So many options!
The glass table in the center left has a fancy PC, printer, and some stationary for workaholics to finish up forms and other paperwork. Said table also has a bowl of lollipops, surprisingly curative snacks that fixes multiple types of damage at once, and a bottle of Delightful Dan's Ginger Ale for more discriminating soda drinkers.
Maintenance Information
There is no vent. How can you relax with one? Besides, it's not approved by the Space Medical Association.
