Sometimes, a doctor will be unable to save a patient, or only get their hands on a patient after it's too late. Or maybe someone anticipates being in danger and wants a way to return, even if they're killed. All of these are helped by the existence of Cloning, found in the northeastern corner of Medbay.
If you grab someone and put them in the blue scanner at the top-left, or they get into it of their own accord, the purple computer can be used to scan and later (or immediately, if that someone is a corpse) clone the person. Be careful - a corpse that has decayed too much can't be scanned without the aid of a special module found out in space, and if you try cloning someone with the Puritan trait it won't go so well.
Once you've scanned a body, you can grab and put them into the reclaimer next to the cloner tube, to make sure it has biomatter to do its thing. If you're out of corpses and biomatter, botany or the nearby geneticists can provide you with extra meat or monkeys that work too. Finally, a pair of doctor-access-only closets can keep peoples' stuff safe from thieves.

Maintenance Information
There is no vent. Fortunately, this means evil folks can't super-secretly fill the room with poisonous gas.
