The Medbay in the southwest of the station is that crew members who are injured, ill, or otherwise ailing visit to (hopefully) get treated and crew members who aren't can (also hopefully) get mechanical augmentations or genetic superpowers. As you can likely tell from the image, it's quite huge and includes, other things, a genetics lab, a morgue, a operating room, a pathology research lab, and a robotics workshop. You can read about them in their own pages.
It also includes many other facilities:
- A blue-bordered area on the west side, unofficially called "Medical Storage", with a NanoMed Plus machine, a Port-A-NanoMed, some reserve tanks and hyposprays, and carts and lockers with medkits, all fairly easily and directly accessible from the lobby. It is also home to Medbay's medical fab and, to the right of the fabricator and all this medicine, paramedic suits, segways, and some wheelchairs.
- This area also has a reception desk into Chemistry, potentially for receiving additional medical supplies from the Scientists.
- A black-tiled Pharmacy area with some Chemistry tools and another NanoMed Plus machine, primarily for patients who are still able to actually stand on the floor scanners and ask for medicine.
- Another blue-bordered area below the two previously mentioned rooms. One section has the cryomedicine suite while the section below has some sleepers and beds for patients to rest in. The latter section, sometimes called "Patient Bedding" is also home to the Port-a-Medbay, a fridge of blood bags, and the rest of Medbay's wheelchairs.
- A small break room, sometimes referred to as the "Medbay Staff Area", with fancy carpeting below the Patient Bedding area, that contains some extra uniforms and a few odd medical objects.
- A fancy office with similarly fancy carpeting for the fancy-suited Medical Director, just left of the previously mentioned operating room.
- A cloning lab on the far east side of Medbay, conveniently directly right of the morgue.
- A monkey dome in the southeast, below genetics filled with monkeys for medical experiments.
The Medical department also has a small outpost near the Pool for treating patients who can't get to here in time.
Maintenance Information
The East Emergency Air Hookup/Electrical Substation can resupply air to the lobby and operating room.
The APC for the Pharmacy is on its left wall. The APC for the Monkey Dome is in the maintenance corridor right of it. The APC for the other rooms mentioned is in the maintenance corridor below this area.

The Medbay is where all the doctors hang out, and where most of the medical supplies are stored. This includes medical vending machines, the Port-A-NanoMed, cryo cells, a bunch of sleepers, plenty of hyposprays and those kickass health goggles. Doctors would be wise to equip themselves when they arrive or spawn, since greedy crewmen often break into storage area and pick the place clean. Medbay also houses the cloning machine above the Genetics lab, which can be used to revive the dead under certain conditions.
Also of note is the reception desk between medbay and chemistry, where your scientist friends can (potentially) brew up helpful meds. A good doctor or Medical Director should be receiving chemicals regularly, assuming the Research team hasn't blown up the Chemistry lab yet.
For further information on the other rooms in this area, see:
The medical department also has an outpost on the other side of the station, which is located between the bar and the chapel. It contains most of the basic supplies required to treat people on the spot.
Maintenance Information
Air can resupplied into the inner corridor via the East/Starboard Air Hookup.
The APCs for the lobby, corridor, and storage area are in the maintenance area between the lobby and robotics.

The Medbay is where all the doctors hang out and do their Doctoring thing, and it's where most of the medical supplies are stored. This includes medical vending machines, the Port-A-NanoMed, cryo cells, two sleepers, plenty of hyposprays and those kickass health goggles. Doctors would be wise to equip themselves when they arrive or spawn, since accidents happen quite a bit aboard. Medbay also houses the cloning machine, which can be used to revive the dead under certain conditions.
As standard with all NT stations and ships, the Medbay Wing includes several state-of-the-art facilities including:
- A Pharmacy, essentially a mini-chemistry, but for doctors, stocked with all the utilities needed for synthesizing medical supplies to apply to your patients.
- A Robotics Lab, for creating and tending to your silicon coworkers
- An Operating Theatre, where doctors slice unsuspecting 'volunteers' open with the surgery tools on the operating tables in the center. There is spare blood stored in a blood supply refrigerator as well as a few N2O tanks and masks in an anesthetic locker. A quick dump chute to the morgue is also provided for all the corpses that might accumulate.
- Treatment Rooms, for studying regular patients and monitoring their recovery. They come with the suitable supplies to facilitate treatment as well a NanoMed Plus vendor for needed medicine.
- A combined Pathology and Genetics Lab, fully stocked with all of the equipment necessary to regret researching diseases while making ordinary men into
horrific abominationssuperheroes. - A Morgue, with state-of-the-art Morgue Units for preserving corpses
for forensics and funeral ritesso you can forget about the dead without leaving them to rot and wither.
The medical department also has an outpost on the other side of the ship, which is located next to Escape and Main Hangar. It contains various medicines for healing all sorts of injuries and a morgue chute for rapid corpse processing.

The Medbay is where all the doctors hang out and do their Doctoring thing, and it's where most of the medical supplies are stored. The open-air mall layout isn't just for show, it's actually got real practical use. Let's walk through it as a Medical Doctor and their patient might to demonstrate:
- Right in the Lobby area, a Medical Doctor has a number of choices available depending on the injuries of the patient.
- Place the patient in a sleeper to let the patient weather out an addiction cold-turkey, treat minor injuries requiring some saline-glucose at most, or keep a patient stabilized while fetching the appropriate medicine.
- Go through the public entrance to the Cryo Chambers and insert them into a cryo tube for treating patients with urgent, life-threatening injuries that will complicate into loss of breath, such as survivors of bomb blasts or victims of brutal hallway brawls.
- Administer drugs from Medbay's Pharmacy. Be glad Medical staff are allowed to possess Chemistry knowledge. This place also makes an excellent place to make advanced medicine and resupply the cryo chamber and medicine cabinets.
- Once inside the Medbay corridors, the Medical Doctor once again has a variety of options.
- Go northward, into a treatment room to allow a patient to weather addiction withdrawals in safety and treat certain diseases or into the Pathology Lab if a pathogen is detected.
- Go east and enter Medbay's Cryo Chambers entrance and put them into cryo bath, if they haven't already at the Lobby.
- Go west and send the patient into the Operating Room, if they require a limb to be re-attached, have a bullet or foreign object lodged in them, have an alien object inside of them, or otherwise require surgery.
- If the occasion doesn't warrant a drastic surgery, urgent cryo bath, or quarantine, but rather a few strategic patches or hypospray applications, the Medical Doctor and their patient can continue southward into the medicine room, well-stocked with all the manner of medicine vendors, medkits, and medicine reserve tanks. This is also where the defibrillators are stored, as well as health goggles and paramedic suits for mobile doctors.
- When the patient is dead, and their ghost is furiously farting on the doctor's face and incessantly yelling at them in deadchat, the medical professional can continue southward still and find two possibles paths for reviving the patient:
- The Cloning Room. Produces, well, a clone of the deceased, with slightly different genetic code but otherwise identical appearance and functionality, assuming the body is relatively fresh and certain obstacles are not present.
- The Robotics Lab. Here, the local Roboticist (or whoever's stumbled their way into the Robotics maint door) can extract the brain of the deceased one and put it into a Cyborg shell or AI core. They can also replace lost limbs with robotic replacements as well provide a number of augmentations.
- Should treatment prove futile, and revival is impossible, the doctor can continue farther southward into
the lunchroomthe Morgue.

The Medbay is where all the medical doctors and their specialist colleagues work and do their Doctoring thing. It is strategically located south of Arrivals and Bar includes a number of compartments:
- A general lobby area, with a sleeper unit, a grey chute into the morgue, and windows for disgruntled/cheeky doctors to toss medicine out of.
- An inner sanctum that houses the station's cryo-treatment chambers and acts as a courtyard of sorts for a number of main facilities. It also features a medical fabricator, a Port-A-NanoMed, plenty of hyposprays, paramedic suits and kickass health goggles.
- Pharmacy: A general treatment area staffed by doctors. Most of the station's medical supplies are in here, including the medical vending machines and various medkits.
- Medical Director's Office: The personal office/bedroom of the station's Medical Director and their sidekick bat Dr. Acula.
- Operating Theatre: A sizable glass room for conducting surgery, stocked with more medical supplies, defibrillators, and various surgical tools.
- Cloning: A full set of cloning equipment for reviving the dead, provided certain conditions.
- Robotics: A workshop for the Roboticists and their cyborgs.
- Genetics: A laboratory for the genetics specialists/researchers and their unfortunate test subjects.
- Pharmacy: A general treatment area staffed by doctors. Most of the station's medical supplies are in here, including the medical vending machines and various medkits.
Maintenance Information
The vent/air injector in the sanctum area gets its air from an emergency air hookup near EVA.
The APC for the Medical Director's Office is in the maintenance tunnel below this general area. The lobby and sanctum area share a APC, which is likewise in the maintenance tunnel below this general area. Pharmacy's APC is in the Medbay emergency air hookup.

The Medbay is where all the doctors and their colleagues hang out and do their Doctoring thing. It's instantly recognizable by the scrubs-blue tiles and includes a number of rooms with various purposes:
- Pharmacy: A general treatment area staffed by doctors. Most of the station's medical equipment is in here, including the medical vending machines, the Port-A-NanoMed, plenty of hyposprays and those kickass health goggles.
- Operating Theatre: A general surgery area partitioned by thin windows. It's also where the Chemistry Lab restocks Medbay's medical supplies, as well as other things.
- Cryo Chambers: A cryoxadone-cryostylane treatment room, also partitioned by thin windows. The medical equipment manufacturer and the Medical Director's locker of equipment are nearby.
- Public Cloner: A full set of cloning equipment for reviving the dead, free and open to all that manage to somehow end up here.
- Robotics: A workshop for the Roboticists and their cyborgs.
- Genetics: A laboratory for the genetics specialists/researchers and their unfortunate test subjects.
Maintenance Information
There are no vents in any of these areas. They have plenty of scrubs but not enough scrubbers.
The APC for the Pharmacy and the areas within it is near the Pharmacy's southeast corner, below the Operating Theatre. Genetics and Robotics have their own, separate APCs.

Main area & corridor rooms: Medical Director, Medical Doctor, Roboticist, Geneticist, Security Officer, Detective, Janitor |
Medbay is basically a huge hospital in the northern parts of the station, where hurt people get healed, dying people are saved, and dead people are brought back to life. It's staffed by the station's team of Medical Doctors, Roboticists, and Geneticists, all under the supervision of the Medical Director. It's divided into two areas, a side corridor and a main hospital area, both served by a huuuuge lobby area with a great view of the ocean and a couple of sleepers for stabilizing patients.
The main hospital area comes with the following facilities, each with carefully-colored tiles:
- A blue-bordered central inner lobby with a medical fabricator and an advanced cryomedicine apparatus. The Port-a-Medbay's home turf is here.
- A white-and-blue checkered medicine storage area of sorts, home to a NanoMed, its mobile teleporting cousin, and much more.
- A full-fledged surgical suite in red.
- A mortuary in glossy white, complete with obligatory Virginian possum.
- A robotics laboratory, in the usual matte black color.
- Another storage area called Medical Storage, with red checker tiles, another NanoMed, cabinets of medkits and auto-menders, and a rack with paramedic suits, medical belts, and kickass health goggles.
- Yet another storage area north of that, confusingly also called Medical Storage. This one has glossy white tiles and stores the local stockpile of blood bags and spare uniforms.
- South of it, the lavishly-carpetted personal office and bedroom of the Medical Director.
The east of the main hospital area is a side corridor, with more research-focused facilities. The corridors are open-access, though not everyone can access the areas within.
- A state of the art cloning lab, directly accessible from the main hallway for
easier bombingsconvenient corpse transport. Has a button that opens the front entrance, so clones can get out of the lab themselves, without awkwardly waiting for/calling for someone to open the door for them. - A fairly-large Chemistry laboratory called the Pharmacy, for creating and distributing
designer drugscustom medicinal concoctions to the public. - A restroom, with a full toilet-tub-shower treatment suite.
- Two treatment rooms for quarantining and monitoring patients with chronic diseases and addictions...or worse.
- A rather distressingly long pathology laboratory.
- A small monkey dome for holding the genetics lab's test subjects

Medistan above all! | |
Genetics, Robotics: See respective pages. |
Below the great markets and restaurants of Civilechia stands Medistan's state hospital, Medbay, named after its founder, Gotou Medbay. It features eight different facilities, each enclosed in different ways and often surrounded by glass windows, so all onlookers can admire Medistani's questionable unquestionably great medical practices.
- Medbay Lobby: A receiving area for patients coming in through the main entrance below Hydroponics. It contains a floor scanner for convenient assessment of patients' physical state, a NanoMed well-stocked with medicine, boxes with stypic powder mini-patches, a locker of medkits, and a few loose medicine bottles. It also has a Medbay Door Control button to open the main entrance in case patients need to exit the hospital when there are no personnel with the required access to open the door available.
- Medkit Storage: A open-ended storage area right of Medbay Lobby that contains two sleepers and more medkits. The hospital's Head Surgeon behinds their day here.
- Cryo: A small cryomedicine laboratory below Medkit Storage that also contains a locker with even more medkits and a table with paramedic suits, medical belts, hyposprays, miscellaneous meds, and blood bags standing surprisingly out in the open, as if waiting for a someone to drink them.
- Morgue: A mortuary in the bottom left portion of Cryo.
- Robotics: A cybernetics clinic/workshop right of Cryo.
- Medbay Operating Theater: An operating room above Medkit Storage for performing one of Medistan's many
highly dangerouslife-saving surgeries. - Cloning: A cloning laboratory for bringing patients back from the dead, as easy as putting on a new shirt or scanning and copying papers.
- Medical Research: A relatively open-access genetics laboratory.
Maintenance Information
There are no vents. For some reason, Medistani regulations require that hospital workers be allergic to vents.
The APC for the Medbay Lobby is on the area's left wall. The Medkit Room's APC is on its right wall, above the table of medkits, while Cryo's APC is on its top wall, sandwiched between the two cryo chambers. Both are confusing named "Medbay", even though they control only part of the facility's devices. Cloning's APC is on the wall left of the stairs into Medical Research.
