The Arcade is where bored crewmen (and Ghosts!) go to play. It contains:
- Arcade terminals, so you can battle [insert villainous name here] and win assorted arcade prizes.
- Snack machines, so you can
get fatspend all your money on space snacks.
- A Robustris Pro Cabinet, so you can play the Tetris clone like a real space pro space gamer.
- A decent number of VR pods and a crate full of VR glasses, so you can visit a VR world and do VR things. Challenge your friends to a go-kart race or sorta-SS13-themed chess match, fight each other in the Thunderdome, battle monsters in the the Gauntlet or blast drones in the Pod Colosseum! The Gauntlet, Colosseum, and chessboard can be accessed via a ladder in the VR lobby, while the Thunderdome is accessible via chutes in the room above the go-cart track's finish line.
If you ever want to log out of the VR zone, you can either press one of the prominent Leave VR buttons or kill your virtual self in some manner, which is easily done with the suicide command or just punching yourself senseless. Note that dying outside of VR or getting taken out of your pod/getting your glasses taken off will automatically log you out of VR as well.
It's important to note that you will die of suffocation if you are in the VR pods for an extended period of time, so it's probably worth using the glasses as opposed to the pods if you plan on a lengthy VR session. Just make sure you hide yourself well so you aren't robbed or killed.
The Nerrrd Dungeon
Beyond the arcade machines and VR pods is another area, called the Nerd Dungeon, which is creative, if somewhat derogative, name for a place meant for holding tabletop game sessions. Naturally, it has dice of many flavors, plenty of pens and paper, a critter compendium book, some snacks and drinks, and even a few costume pieces for immersion.
While no room is truly, completely private, this is one of the more private ones, since anyone is here is probably busy playing videogames or logging off here so they look like they're busy playing videogames. This makes it a good place for hosting some quality, uninterrupted tabletop gaming...or concocting schemes with fellow evildoers.
Life and Death in the Grognarditorium
In theory, nobody usually comes in here. In reality, with the Gauntlet and the Pod Colosseum, there can be a bunch of people standing around wearing VR glasses or using the VR pods. This, of course, means that you could messily devour people, flood the room with roaring plasma fire, or even suck ze crew's blaad!
Maintenance information
It's air can be supplied from the Portside Emergency Air Hookup, although the room itself has no vents.
The APC for this room is located on the west wall of aft port maintenance.
The power is supplied via a cable in aft port maintenance.

Also, do note that this place is quite close to Engineering and thus the singularity. If the singulo gets loose, be glad the Main Hangar is right around the corner.

The Arcade is a cramped broom closet above the Bar where bored crewmen and the Ghosts go to play video games UNDERWATER!!!. It contains an Arcade terminal with an old-school [SYNONYM FOR FIGHT] [VILLAINOUS-SOUNDING NAME] HTML games, a tournament--quality Robustris Pro Cabinet, and four VR pods and a crate full of VR goggles, with slightly more modern VR world with VR things like:
- A go-kart track with lots of weird-ass environments and even weirder power-ups.
- A special court for playing Thunderdome, which is like basketball except with fire, lasers, swords, spears, stims, and, of course, wrestling!
- The Gauntlet, a gladiatorial arena where you battle waves and waves of malevolent Critters.
- The Pod Colosseum, which is like the above, but instead of martians and angry toolboxes, it's evil Syndicate space robots. Now 150% bugfree!
- A human-sized chessboard with pieces that resemble people/things you see in other parts of SS13. Remember, to move a piece, click-drag it to the square you onto to move it too. Also, it's a bad idea to pick up the pieces with your hands.
The latter three are accessed via a ladder in the VR lobby, while the Thunderdome is accessible via chutes in the room above the go-cart track's finish line.
If you ever want to log out of the VR zone, you can either press one of the prominent Leave VR buttons or kill your virtual self in some manner, which is easily done with the suicide command or just punching yourself senseless. If you can't escape this prison ship, perhaps you can escape your life through video games in the Arcade on the far west end of the ship. It contains an Arcade terminal with an old-school [SYNONYM FOR FIGHT] [VILLAINOUS-SOUNDING NAME] HTML game and six virtual reality pods (no goggles, sorry) that allow access to a few VR games:
- A go-kart track with strange environments and even stranger power-ups for screwing your friends over.
- A special court for playing Thunderdome, which is like basketball except it's more realistic. That means there's stuff like fire, lasers, swords, spears, stims, and, naturally, wrestling, because there's lots of violence in real life.
- The Gauntlet, a gladiatorial arena where you battle waves and waves of malevolent Critters. Just like prison!

During the Great Vent War, the arcade machine old-guard bit the dust and was wiped out in the last stand at Entrian's Lost Byte. Afterwards, the VR goggles regiments were forcefully relocated by Secstotzka to Brig, while one of the Robustris Pro divisions fled to the neutral Arrival Dock.
