Revision as of 11:11, 4 June 2024
Found in the northeastern corner of the debris field, the Space Diner is a grungy, dimly-lit eatery frequented by hooligans, seedy sorts, and occasionally bored engineers looking to do some renovations. The diner has a few things of note, like cooking machines and a secluded motel that's mostly used by scientists looking to test their fancy bombs, but it's most notable for its selection of NPC traders that offer a variety of rare and esoteric goods, as well as being a handy staging ground for excursions into the debris field thanks to its breathable atmosphere, lack of danger, and easy transportation back to the main station.
The western part of the diner is dominated by a parking area composed of some miniature pod bays and a small room with everything you need to build a teleporter for convenient transportation. The pod bays start with a number of space pods; one civilian MiniPutt equipped with a light phaser, one random MiniPutt, and one random large pod. These random pods always start locked on the RP servers, and their equipment can run the gamut from a standard light pod to rare armor kits and weapons depending on how the dice are feeling that round.
Getting to the diner is straightforward enough; the Teleporter can zap you there instantly if you have access or ask nicely, but you can also use a Space Pod or take the mining shuttle, which has the space diner as one of its stops.

Except for THE MONSTER (which has a cooking recipe), everything here is from Hydroponics.
Item | Image | Price | Description |
---|---|---|---|
THE MONSTER | 600 | B.I.F.F. used to sell these rather than buying them, for a measly 75 credits apiece. | |
George Melon | 75 | This refers to rainbow melons. | |
Green Grapes | 75 | ||
Chilly Pepper | 100 | ||
Ghost Chili Pepper | 300 | This refers to ghostlier chili. | |
Lashberry | 300 | Harvested from blooming lashers. | |
Purple Goop | 300 | Harvested from drippers. | |
Glowfruit | 300 | This refers to the glowing fruit produced by light lotuses. |
Bombini
It's Bombini! She operates out of her shuttle to the north of the parking area, and sells bee-themed goods as well as a variety of GuardBuddy equipment. Not to be confused with the secret chem, which is named after this merchant.
Items Sold
Item | Image | Price | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Guardbuddy Construction Kit | 300 | Contains everything you need to build a Guardbuddy from scratch: a frame, a core, a right cyborg arm, and a basic power cell. | |
Medicator Tool Module | 60 | Arms Guardbuddies with a syringe gun loaded with haloperidol. | |
Flash Tool Module | 60 | Arms Guardbuddies with a flash. | |
Taser Tool Module | 60 | Arms Guardbuddies with a taser. | |
Smoker Tool Module | 60 | Arms Guardbuddies with a smoker that emits cloud of ketamine. | |
Royal Jelly | 300 | Contains 25 units of royal jelly. You can feed this to a bee larva to turn it into a queen bee! | |
Bee Egg | 60 | One bee egg. Doesn't come in a carton like the ones you might get from QM. | |
Irregular Egg | 60 | Like a regular bee egg, but it turns into a bee that looks like a Robuddy. As one does. | |
Bee Kibble | 60 | Contains nectar, honey, corn starch, and pollen. Good for bees, but not so much for non-bees. |
Items Bought
Item | Image | Price | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Space Honey | 300 | Specifically, solid honey globs produced when bees drink nectar from hydroponics trays. | |
Gold ID | 5000 | A shiny golden ID. The ID the Captain spawns with counts for this as you'd expect, but not the Captain's spare ID in the Captain's Quarters. This also includes the golden ID personnel equipment manufacturers can make if hacked. | |
Captain Gold ID | 5000 | This specifically refers to the "Captain's spare ID" that spawns in the Captain's Quarters. | |
Stamped Gold Bullion | 10000 | Taking some gold ore and refining it into ingots doesn't count for this. Bombini specifically buys "stamped bullion", a highly valuable ingot of previous metal that's found in off-station safes as loot. The Merchant and VIP jobs also spawn with a two bars of this. |
Sketchy D-5
A PR-1 Robuddy operating out of the diner's dingy, spider-infested restroom. Charming! D-5 stocks old NanoTrasen military surplus gear, an impressive variety of drugs, and -- strangely enough -- high-end pod parts, although they come at an exorbitantly high cost.
Items Sold
Item | Image | Price | Description |
---|---|---|---|
HERMES Engine | 1500 | See Space Pod. | |
Mk.2 Scout Laser | 25000 | See Space Pod. | |
Assault Laser Array | 50000 | No, that price is not a typo. See Space Pod | |
Strange Armor Plating | 25000 | See Space Pod | |
Pod Paint Job Kit (Red Racing Stripes) | 2400 | See Space Pod. Doesn't actually make you go any faster. | |
Pod Paint Job Kit (Blue Racing Stripes) | 2400 | See Space Pod. Doesn't actually make you go any faster. | |
Pod Paint Job Kit (Flames) | 2400 | See Space Pod. Doesn't actually make you go any faster. | |
Surplus tactical uniform | 1200 | No special stats. | |
Surplus NT beret | 1200 | Identical to the beret spawned by the NT Loyalist Trait. | |
Surplus armored vest | 2400 | Has a distinct sprite and name, so it's obvious where it came from. Has identical stats to security's body armor. | |
Scary NanoTrasen Gasmask | 1200 | That's how it's named in the commodity list! Don't blame me, I'm just an infobox. Identical in every way to a standard gas mask except for the sprite. | |
Methamphetamine (5x pills) | 1200 | Comes in a handy bottle. Each pill contains 10 units of methamphetamine. | |
Crank (5x pills) | 600 | Comes in a handy bottle. Each pill contains 10 units of crank. | |
Cat Drugs (5x pills) | 600 | Meow! Each pill contains 10 units of cat drugs. | |
Morphine (1x syringe) | 600 | Contains 15 units of morphine. | |
Krokodil (1x syringe) | 600 | Contains 15 units of krokodil. | |
LSD (1x patch) | 150 | Contains 20 units of LSD. | |
LSBee (1x patch) | 150 | Contains 20 units of LSBee. | |
Bootleg Firework (1x rocket) | 75 | Usually contains magnesium, but sometimes instead has flash powder or even black powder! If these spawn with dangerous reagents, just about anything will cause them to ignite immediately. | |
Uranium (1x nugget) | 1200 | The game treats this as a pill, funnily enough. Contains 4 to 6 units of uranium, a fairly rare reagent useful for advanced Chemistry. |
