You can tell they really care about their courtroom affairs, because, unlike other stations, the Courtroom is in an actual room, located in the southeast/starboard side of the station, that genuinely looks like a courtroom. There's a little glass box for the defendant, a tiny little table for a lawyer, a little side room for six jurors, and a huge judge's box. The [[Head of Personnel]] is usually designated to be the judge, which is why there's plenty of HoP goodies in the judge box, like an [[Computer#ID Computer|ID Computer]] and a [[Head of Personnel#The Personal Equipment Manufacturer|personal equipment manufacturer]]. | |||

The Courtroom is located in the western part of the station, below Security, above Market, and on the hallway to the Bridge. Theoretically this where trials would take place. You can see that there's a separate room for the jury members (12 angry ones, of course) with closets of lawyer suits, a little box for the defendant accessible from Sec, a wooden bench for the judge with a genuine gavel hammer and block (judge costume, robes and wig in all, is in the Customs area below), and a little smaller desk for a court stenographer. Lawyers and witnesses are presumably expected to stand while they deliver.
Of course, trials rarely happen, and when they do, they will inevitably be bombed. And if they aren't, someone will fill the room with amusing ducks. The burn chamber in Engineering may be hot, it's nothing compared to the heated arguments of the real courtroom drama and explosion of the bombing that takes place here.
