Storing gaseous engineering, duh.
As you could can probably guess from the name, the Engineering Gas Storage area right of Engineering's Hot Loop is where, well, the Engineering department stores most of its gas. Specifically:
- Four cans of nitrogen, an inert gas sometimes used as an alternative to plasma in the gas loops, in their own white-tiled room, which looks like a cute lil' freezer room (it's not--you won't freeze in there).
- Four cans of plasma, ready to burn, in a small subroom with lovely red-orange tiles (or is it orange-red?).
- Three cans of oxygen, whose uses should be obvious.
- Three cans of CO2, another plasma alternative.
There's also a two-port mixer, in case you want to mixes your gas old-school style. It's a bit weird, but it's nothing your Engineer training hasn't prepped you for, right?
Maintenance Information
There is no vent. Lack of it keeps the Engineering gas in here.

Two lies for the price of one.
Like the Holy Roman Empire, English Civil War, and Meal Ready to Eat, the state of Engineering Gas Storage, located in the maintenance corridors between Engiers and Researchica/Scientopia, is quite sorely misnamed. Let's break down each component of its name:
- "Engineering": Engineering Gas Storage has no electricity, power generation, or shipping industry. There's a computer industry, which sort of makes it computer engineering related, but the mainframe and quantum telescope and long range teleporter setup make it more Research related.
- "Gas": The only gas here is the air.
- "Storage": The only part of the name that's certainly true, for there is an inexplicably fancy laptop and reserve of terminal computer parts, like ID scanners and disks.
Still, despite the weird name, Researchican/Scientopian pilgrims continue to flock to here, often to heal their teleporter sof science or seek guidance for their long range teleporters. Minerians sometimes come to here to seek guidance too, but for asteroids the Mining Outpost magnet should seek.
Maintenance Information
There is no vent. That make the "Gas" part of the name actually make sense.
