This little alcove near Arrivals is the Net Cafe, the station's truly public computer lab. While many rooms can boast of having a personal computer, only the Net Cafe can boast of having two--and a printer too! (Who knows what's with that scanner though.)
All the computers here run ThinkDOS, an ancient operating system straight out of the 1980s. If you can get past the charmingly antiquated OS, you can unlock the very secrets of signals and bend the station's computer network to your will. Or spam ASCII bees. Your choice.

There is no vent. Good thing these computers don't need cooling.

This little niche near Mechanics, in the general Engineering hallway, is the Net Cafe, the station's truly public computer lab. While many rooms can boast of having a personal computer, only the Net Cafe can boast of having two--and a printer too! (Who knows what's with that scanner though.) Not to mention, it's right across the hall from the lair of one of the biggest computer nerds on the station.

Tabletop game nerds have the Nerd Dungeon, Sol nerds have the Science Teleporter, and packets nerds have the Net Cafe, a surprisingly well-kept computer lab sandwiched between the Bridge and Mining. There's nothing remotely cafe-like here besides the flooring, but there are two PCs and a DWAINE Terminal to practice your packet nerdery with, plus a printer-scanner combo for printing out cute ASCII art of bees and GuardBuddies. This place also has a QM Request Console for...reasons?
