The Medbay is where all the doctors hang out, and where most of the medical supplies are stored. This includes medical vending machines, the Port-A-NanoMed, cryo cells, a bunch of sleepers, plenty of hyposprays and those kickass health goggles. Doctors would be wise to equip themselves when they arrive or spawn, since greedy crewmen often break into storage area and pick the place clean. Medbay also houses the cloning machine, which can be used to revive the dead under certain conditions.
Also of note is the reception desk between medbay and Chemistry, where your scientist friends can (potentially) brew up helpful meds. A good doctor or Medical Director should be receiving chemicals regularly, assuming the Research team hasn't blown up the Chemistry lab yet.

The medical department also has an outpost on the other side of the station, which is located next to the pool in the Port aft sector. It contains most of the basic supplies required to treat people on the spot.

The Medbay is where all the doctors hang out and do their Doctoring thing, and it's where most of the medical supplies are stored. This includes medical vending machines, the Port-A-NanoMed, cryo cells, two sleepers, plenty of hyposprays and those kickass health goggles. Doctors would be wise to equip themselves when they arrive or spawn, since accidents happen quite a bit aboard. Medbay also houses the cloning machine, which can be used to revive the dead under certain conditions.
As standard with all NT stations and ships, the Medbay Wing includes several state-of-the-art facilities including:
- A Pharmacy, essentially a mini-chemistry, but for doctors, stocked with all the utilities needed for synthesizing medical supplies to apply to your patients.
- A Robotics Lab, for creating and tending to your silicon coworkers
- An Operating Theatre, where doctors slice unsuspecting 'volunteers' open with the surgery tools on the operating tables in the center. There is spare blood stored in a blood supply refrigerator as well as a few N2O tanks and masks in an anesthetic locker. A quick dump chute to the morgue is also provided for all the corpses that might accumulate.
- Treatment Rooms, for studying regular patients and monitoring their recovery. They come with the suitable supplies to facilitate treatment as well a NanoMed Plus vendor for needed medicine.
- A combined Pathology and Genetics Lab, fully stocked with all of the equipment necessary to regret researching diseases while making ordinary men into
horrific abominationssuperheroes. - A Morgue, with state-of-the-art Morgue Units for preserving corpses
for forensics and funeral ritesso you can forget about the dead without leaving them to rot and wither.
Medical booth
The medical department also has an outpost on the other side of the ship, which is located next to Escape and Main Hangar. It contains various medicines for healing all sorts of injuries and a morgue chute for rapid corpse processing.

The Medbay is where all the doctors hang out and do their Doctoring thing, and it's where most of the medical supplies are stored. The open-air mall layout isn't just for show, it's actually got real practical use. Let's walk through it as a Medical Doctor and their patient might to demonstrate:
- Right in the Lobby area, a Medical Doctor has a number of choices available depending on the injuries of the patient.
- Place the patient in a sleeper to let the patient weather out an addiction cold-turkey and treat minor injuries that only require some saline-glucose at most.
- Go through the public entrance to the Cryo Chambers and insert them into a cryo tube for treating urgent, life-threatening injuries involving loss of breath.
- Administer drugs from Medbay's Pharmacy. Be glad Medical staff are allowed to possess Chemistry knowledge. This place also makes an excellent place to make advanced medicine and resupply the cryo chamber and medicine cabinets.
- Once inside the Medbay corridors, the Medical Doctor once again has a variety of options.
- Go northward, into a treatment room to allow a patient to weather addiction withdrawals in safety and treat certain diseases or into the Pathology Lab if a pathogen is detected.
- Go east and enter Medbay's Cryo Chambers entrance and put them into cryo bath, if they haven't already at the Lobby. Cryoxadone is excellent at treating burn, brute, and oxygen damage, so it's great patients who have just barely survived a bomb blast or brutal hallway brawl.
- Go west and send the patient into the Operating Room, if they require a limb to be re-attached, have a bullet or foreign object lodged in them, have an alien object inside of them, or otherwise require surgery.
- If the occasion doesn't warrant a drastic surgery, urgent cryo bath, or quarantine, but rather a few strategic patches or hypospray applications, the Medical Doctor and their patient can continue southward into the medicine room, well-stocked all the manner of medicine vendors, medkits, and hyposprays and reserve tanks. This is also where the defibrillators are stored, as well as health goggles and paramedic suits for mobile doctors.
- When the patient is dead, and their ghost is furiously farting on the doctor's face and incessantly yelling at them in deadchat, the medical professional can continue southward still and find two possibles paths for reviving the patient:
- The Cloning Room. Produces, well, a clone of the biological clone, with slightly different genetic code but otherwise identical appearance, assuming the body is relatively fresh and certain obstacles are not present.
- The Robotics Lab. Here, the local Roboticist (or whoever's stumbled their way into the Robotics maint door) can extract the brain of the deceased one and put it into a Cyborg shell or AI core. They can also replace lost limbs with robotic replacements as well provide a number of augmentations.
- Should treatment prove futile, and revival is impossible, the doctor can continue farther southward into
the lunchroomthe Morgue.
