How do people who create miniature black holes for a living sleep at night? By laying in one of the beds in the Engineering Quarters in the port/west side of Engineering, directly left of the Engineering Break Room. They get beds with yellow sheets appropriately enough, hopefully because it's their departmental colors and not because someone keeps wetting them.
Like you and I, when Engineers wake up in the morning (?), they freshen up in the Engineering Restroom in the north portion of the room and then grab their gear from Engineer equipment lockers and radiation equipment lockers. The former contains essentials such as toolbelts, meson goggles, and iconic blue toolboxes. The latter contains radiation gear and potassium iodide to protect them the singularity's ionizing radiation, so they don't die from radiation poisoning.
Some of them also use the golden phone on the wall to ring up the CE about what projects they're doing this shift...or just prank-call the Captain.
