The Mailman is job that existed in the very early history of Devstation. Back then, their job was to sort the mail as it came in and distribute them to the correct destinations. In truth this almost never worked as no one would send mail (correctly) and the Mailman would disappear somewhere. The job was quietly discontinued from normal play and was not missed.

Some few years later, the Mailman is now a job of the day on Wednesdays, with one slot available per round exclusively for late-joiners. Now that the station's mail system has been vastly automated and simplified, they're less about shoving the right things into the right tubes and more about delivering the right packages to the right places. They get Cargo Bay access, so they can deliver the crates the Quartermasters order (and possibly order some themselves) and start with wrapping paper and scissors for those extra special gift deliveries. They also spawn wearing the syndie mailman suit, allowing them to ride mail chutes.

Some maps have a regular mailman uniform and hat as relics of this job's past. Depending on the map, either both will be in Routing Depot, or one piece will be in Routing Depot with the other in Disposals.
