Chemists once worked with scientists and the Research Director in the research sector. They mainly sat in chemistry and made either medicine or horrible chemicals that instantly killed people. All in all, a good chemist traitor was probably one of the strongest traitor forces on the station.
This job has since been discontinued. Chemistry is now a part of the scientist's job.
