This template is meant for pages that are transcripts of in-game books and consists of a table of all such pages. It automatically adds the page to Category:Ingame books, so there is no need to manually assign it to that category. This is almost always placed at the very bottom of the page, and pages with this template usually have the Template:Transcript too.
If you're looking for books that have been removed or are still obtainable in-game but are no longer relevant, see Template:Archive.
