This page is under construction. The following information may be incomplete. You can help by adding missing information or formatting. |
Clothing can be found all over the station, and everybody starts the game clothed in the uniform for their job position. Clothing can be equipped in the Inventory slots found in the bottom left corner of your screen by clicking on the slot with the right kind of item.
Jumpsuits
File:InvSuit.png
File:Jumps1.pngFile:Jumps2.pngFile:Jumps3.pngFile:Jumps4.pngFile:Jumps5.png
Worn in the Suit slot. If you don't wear one, you cannot use the card, belt, and pocket slots. Everyone starts the game with one of these, and more are available around the station. Listing all of the jumpsuits on the station would be silly, so just look at the Jobs page if you want to see who wears what at a glance.
Chameleon Jumpsuit
File:JumpCham.gif
The Chameleon Jumpsuit is a special traitor item jumpsuit that can change its appearance. View the Syndicate Items page for more information on it.
External Suits
File:InvExternal.png
Worn in the central "Over" slot, these often provide protection or some kind of useful function.
Body Armor
File:Armour.pngFile:CapArmour.png
Security, Bartenders, and Command staff start the game with these. They provide protection from attacks made on your chest, sometimes absorbing the hit completley. Be aware that they aren't significantly effective against prolonged or heavy assaults - it's just a suit of kevlar, not powered armor. The Captain gets his own suit of armor which is big and green, but isn't any more effective than regular security armor.
Biohazard Suit
File:Biohazsuit.png
These offer significant protection from external viral hazards and often come paired with other gear that offers the same kind of resistance. Be aware that this won't offer any protection against viruses contracted by ingesting contaminated materials!
Firesuit
Essential gear from firefighting, this stops you from taking damage from both fire and heat/cold. Note that the protection is limited - the suit will hold out indefinitley against most circumstances, but environments of extreme heat will destroy the firesuit resulting in your very swift charring death. Also note that while the firesuit offers protection from the cold, it doesn't protect from hard vaccuum. Going into space with one of these is not a good idea! They also slow down your running speed.
Space Suit
Also known as an EVA Suit, which is obviously found in EVA Storage. Grey and baggy looking, these are the only things that will stop you dying from decompression when standing on a space tile. Like firesuits, wearing them will slow you down quite a lot. Be aware that these don't let you move freely in space - that ability is granted by Jetpacks, not the suits. These also grant some protection from heat and cold, but not as much as a firesuit - they also don't protect from fire. There are a few special types of spacesuits that are slightly different from the standard Grey EVA suit. The Captain's spacesuit and Red spacesuit will not slow you down, and the yellow Engineering spacesuit comes with a built-in flashlight. Industrial Space Armour provides excellent protection against radiation and explosives, and also provides a small speed boost.
Emergency Space Suit
File:Emergsuit.png
This is essentially a cheap shitty version of the EVA suit which has a limited lifespan - you can start with one in the box in your backpack and they're commonly available from Emergency Lockers. These are intended purely for either jumping across space or putting on when you've been unexpectedly sucked into space and you think you can be recovered. They're also really fucking heavy, so you won't be able to move around the station very well while wearing one. But that won't matter if you're floating out in space.
Straitjacket
File:Sjacket.png
Available in certain lockers in medbay. Putting one of these on someone will slow them to a crawl and render them unable to interact with anything until someone takes it off them, so it's basically handcuffs on steriods. Putting one of these on people is pretty much a total dick thing to do and admins generally don't look kindly on it.
Other External Suits
- Labcoat - Doesn't do anything except make you look more sciencey.
- Hard Worn Coat - Part of the Detective's getup. He needs it to be able to fire his revolver or else he won't feel cool enough.
- Wizard's Robe - Obviously worn by a Wizard, they have a hard time casting spells without it. Vulnerable to flames.
Headgear
File:InvHead.png
Goes on the center-top slot. Most of these are useless cosmetic accessories. If it isn't a hat, it can be used alongside a Breath Mask to form a makeshift Gas Mask.
- Helmet - Detailed in Security Things. Used to build Electric Chairs and maybe bots.
- Bio Hood - May or may not complete the protection offered by the Bio Suit. Wear it if you think there's virii about.
- Space Helmet - Not really necessary for space travel. You can go into space fine without one. It does act as a welding mask and conceal your identity though.
- Welding helmet - Protects your eyes from the glow of the welding tool. Only the user requires one of these to avoid arc-eye. Also prevents the effects of a flash.
- Hats - Don't do anything except look nice.
- Cakehat - The most precious item on the station. You can light the candle on it by using it, but note it can ignite plasma.
- Butt - buttes and fartes, also you can cook them into Assburgers.
Masks
File:InvMask.png
Things what help you breathe, or otherwise just look cool. Goes in the top-left slot.
- Gasmask - The ideal option for using internals. Links with an air tank (preferably oxygen) to give you an internal air supply. 150 is a sufficient release rate when wearing one of these. Scientists start wearing one. They're available from Atmospherics and the Maintenance Tunnels.
- Voice Changer- A traitor item that looks and functions identically to a regular gasmask, except it also prevents you from giving away your disguise when you speak while wearing someone else's ID and a mask on. Combine with many IDs and a radio for fun times.
- Breath Mask - Shitty knockoff gasmasks, though far more available and common. All backpacks start containing a box that has one of these inside. Would usually require a high release rate from the O2 tank, but due to a bug they work just fine at default settings.
- Surgical Mask- Doesn't do anything. Can't be used with internals.
- Clown Mask - HONK
- Muzzle - Prevents whoever is wearing it from speaking. Generally pointless.
Gloves
- Insulated Gloves - Yellow gloves that stop anything electrified from zapping you.
- Stun Gloves - Must be constructed using insulated gloves, wire and a power cell. Basically turns your gloves into melee tazers.
- Black Gloves - Syndicates start with these. Don't do anything other than prevent you leaving fingerprints on things.
- Latex Gloves - Same as Black Gloves. They're available in medical cabinets.
- Boxing Gloves - WENT THE DISTANCE, NOW I'M NOT GONNA STOP, JUST A MAN AND HIS WILL TO SURVIVE
Glasses
Note that Optics glasses will blind and stun you as if you were hit by a flash if you are in the vicinity when an EMP Grenade detonates.
- Optical Thermal Scanners - Lets you see people through walls, in the dark, and see people who are using cloaking devices. Will severely damage your eyes if worn when welding.
- Optical Meson Scanners - Lets you see the layout of the station through walls, as well as gases, fires, and ores in asteroids.
- Sunglasses - Protects you from Flashes, but not Flashbangs.
- Prescription Glasses - Mostly useless. Improves your vision if you've been partially blinded.
- Prescription Monocle - Do the same thing as Prescription Glasses.
- ProDoc Health Glasses - Shows the general health of people as a colored heart above their head.
- Blindfolds - No-one ever uses these. Pretty obvious what they do.
- VISOR - Allows blind people to see, albeit in somehwat grainy quality. Think Geordi LaForge.
- VR Goggles - Send you to a virtual world. A pair start in the detectives office, ala Heavy Rain. It is similar to the Virtual Brig.
Miscellaneous Other Stuff
- Shoes - Protect your feet from broken glass. Otherwise cosmetic apart from orange ones, which combine with handcuffs to make Shackles, Galoshes, which prevent slipping on wet floors, and the Chief Engineer's Magnetic Boots which prevent slipping in space.
- Earmuffs - does anyone even realise these exist, also they don't provide protection from flashbangs.
- Earplugs - Comes in a box of Sonic Grenades, protect you from hearing damage.
- Backpack - Useful item worn on the back slot (top right). Stores items and has the most capacity of any container.
- Radio Headset - Allows you to hear and speak on the frequency it's set to.
- Auditory Headset- Allows deaf people to hear.
- ID Card - You start with one of these. Gives you access to stuff if you have it on the ID slot or in your hand. Captain IDs are gold.
