Would it be interesting (or even possible) to have a feed of recent tweets from https://twitter.com/SS13_txt on the frontpage or somewhere in the community category? I'm bad at social media, but I've seen sites use it as a snapshot of current events and what's going down in the community, shit like that. Whoever runs ss13.txt picks pretty good quotes, but I don't think it gets a lot of exposure. --Don (talk) 00:02, 20 August 2014 (CDT) | Would it be interesting (or even possible) to have a feed of recent tweets from https://twitter.com/SS13_txt on the frontpage or somewhere in the community category? I don't think our Widgets version (a MediaWiki extension) supports Twitter integration. Not sure if it could fit anywhere in the community category, but definitely not on the front page. The feed isn't an official part of Goonstation and appears to be a subjective selection of funny things somebody encountered while playing the game. Nothing wrong with that, but I'd say it's not really a good representation of what's going on in the community. --Convair880 (talk) 07:13, 22 August 2014 (CDT) |

Objects
Perhaps we should add a link to the objects category (With it's picture being a blue toolbox) to the main bar with all the other important links on it. I think it would help a lot of people curious about things like "What is a wrench, and what does it do?"--Mcdogles (talk) 22:25, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
- I even put something like that on my own page long ago for my own convenience. Of course, I just nabbed the red toolbox pic. Darth various (talk) 22:56, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
- Well, that's pretty much perfect, just make the toolbox blue or some other easily recognizable item and slap it on the front page!--Mcdogles (talk) 17:58, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
- So, any resolution to this? I still think this would be helpful to add.--Mcdogles (talk) 22:00, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- Well sure, if it doesn't break the layout. Please don't forget to add a link to Wiremap to the George Melon character though. --Convair880 (talk) 23:30, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
Art
Just want to point out an interest in the return of the Art section. --Conor12 (talk) 14:03, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
I wouldn't be opposed to this idea! Perhaps we should also use this opportunity to restructure the whole Community category, there are a bunch of quasi-redundant pages in there. Four pages containing nothing but an embedded video each, antique text snippets from 2010 and...well, whatever this is. I'm sure we can figure something out. --Convair880 (talk) 11:26, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
Well, nothing happened here, so I went ahead and merged the videos into a single page. There's also a new dump for fan art - by all means, feel free to contribute stuff there! --Convair880 (talk) 12:24, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
Twitter feed
Would it be interesting (or even possible) to have a feed of recent tweets from https://twitter.com/SS13_txt on the frontpage or somewhere in the community category? I'm bad at social media, but I've seen sites use it as a snapshot of current events and what's going down in the community, shit like that.
