This page is under construction. The following information may be incomplete. Information might be inaccurate in some areas(EOD,HoS Coat, SWAT Helmet,Hard Hat and Blast Helmet.), will need to be double checked and confirmed. Icons needed for some of the missing suits. Page needs to be polished in general. The Armor list can also always be expanded. |
As a Crew member, you have a wide array of Guns to brutally murder your coworkers! But what about protecting yourself from such vile weapons?
This is where armor comes in.
Armor Values. "The numbers Mason, What do they mean?!"
The most common Armor Values in terms of Combat will be Ranged protection and Melee protection.
Melee is fairly straight forward, it directly subtracts damage from whatever hit you are about to take, aswell as the stamina damage that comes with it. If the damage you are about to take is lower than your armor's melee value, It may completely negate the damage. Formula: Damage - Armor = Final Damage(10/10 very complicated math)
Ranged values are handled a bit differently, they act by dividing the damage of the projectile with its itself, Player mobs start with 1 ranged prot, and is further added on by armor, a total armor of over 2 prot will prevent Ballistic ammo from embedding shrapnel into you. Ranged Armor can be defeated easily by AP ammo however, they will always embed and usually deal full damage regardless of how many layers of kevlar you put between you and it. Formula:Damage/Armor= Final Damage With AP: Damage/(Armor/3) = Final Damage
Armor List
This section will list all existing Armor on the station aswell as some from special jobs and/or admins
Disclaimer: due to how bullets are handled, only chestpieces have bullet protection
Torso
Item | Image | Ranged Protection (Total protection) | Melee Protection | Slowdown? | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Jumpsuits | N/A | -1 dmg | ✗ | Not really armor per say, however they still provide a baseline dmg reduction, which is added on top of actual armor. | |
Armor Vest | 1 prot (2 prot) | -6 dmg | ✗ | Standard issue vest for Security Officers. Protects fairly well against most of the common weapons on station, and lets you tank 1 more revolver shots before critical health
| |
Captain's Armor | 1.5 prot (2.5 prot) | -7 dmg | ✗ | The Armor that the Captain wears at roundstart, it tanks a bit more melee damage and revolvers will take 4 shots to send you from 100 to critical health.
| |
Heavy Armor | 3 prot (4 prot) | -13 dmg | ✓ | Seldom used, due to those being stowed away in the Armory and the moderate slowdown making it hard to use in chases. However in proper situations, it is a very powerful suit capable of soaking a lot of damage in melee and at range(6 Revolver shots!).
| |
Bomb Disposal Suit | 4 prot (5 prot) | -9 dmg | ✓ | Slows you down even more than the Heavy Armor, however it has incredible bullet protection and the ability to resist and even completly negate explosive damage | |
Space Suit | 0.5 prot (1.5 prot) | -3 dmg | ✓ | This suit offers minor protection to damage, along with being space worthy. | |
Syndicate Space Suit | 0.5 prot (1.5 prot) | -3 dmg | ✓ | Basically a reskin of the Space suit, but red and spooky. | |
Syndicate Specialist/NTSO Combat Dress | 0.5 prot (0.5 prot) | -3 dmg | ✗ | Same as the Space Suit, but without the slowdown and a with a more tacticool look. | |
Specialist Heavy Combat Dress | 1.5 prot (2.5 prot) | -9 dmg | ✗ | Usually only found on Nucler Operatives, From Lucky Traitors or in a secluded Base. These come with the EVA abilities of the Normal Dress, only with much beefier armor. NT Special Operatives also have their own blue counterpart
| |
NT-SO Armor Vest | 1.5 prot (2.5 prot) | -8 dmg | ✗ | A better and bluer version of Security's armor vest, can usually only be found on NT Operatives, or somewhere in space..... for a cost. |
Helmets
Item | Image | Melee Protection | Notes
|
---|---|---|---|
Helmet | -6 dmg | Standard Issue Helmet for security officers, gives decent protection to toolboxing assistants. | |
Swat Helmet | -7 dmg | Given to Nuclear Operatives , essentially a better security helmet. | |
Riot Helmet | -10 dmg | The accompanying helmet of the Heavy Armor. Offers very good protection, but darkens your vision. | |
HoS Hat/Beret | -7 dmg | The Head Of Security Spawns with this. It provides very good protection while looking stylish! Click it while in your hands to switch between the 2 forms. | |
Captain’s Hat | -4 dmg | The Hat of the Captain and the source of all his authority.. | |
Hard Hat | -6 dmg | A surprisingly robust headwear for engineers, comes with a built in flashlight! | |
Blast Helmet | -8 dmg | The companion Helmet to the Bomb Disposal Suit. Does exactly the same thing as the vest, but for your head! | |
Syndicate Hat | -6 dmg | An extremely stylish and red hat from Very Bad Dudes. It has the same stats as a normal helmet, and you will need every bit of it, for the inevitable chase that will ensue for the pure embodiment of crime that is this hat. | |
Space Helmet | -4 dmg | Usually found along its suit counterpart, it is spaceworthy, and comes with minor protection against head bashing. | |
Syndicate/NTSO Combat Helmet | -4 dmg | The accompanying helmet for the combat dress, is space proof. |
