Have you tried to take over the station but were busted within the first five minutes? Have you attempted to create a murderbox only for the AI to rat you out immediately? Or are you just overwhelmed by the sheer amount of items and possibilities that are now open to you?

Worry not my murderous friend, for you have come to the right place! This is a guide that will give you some general advices for traitoring in specific jobs!

This guide will usually try to give advices regarding the use of job specific traitor items, thus if you are trying to find advice or give advice to future traitors regarding normal items, please use the Being A Better Traitor section.

You may also want to read Being A Better Traitor and Syndicate Items for more advice.

Roboticist

The Roboticist's greatest strength and weakness is their isolated job, usually the Roboticist has to take care of the first round of cyborgs and then goes unnoticed for the rest of the shift, having only to meet the silicons requests from time to time, witch leaves a lot of free time where you can do your illegal stuff where rarely anyone will notice your absence from robotics or your silence on the radio.

Of course this also means that if you are gone when the station needs you they will start a manhunt and that will usually result in you being discovered and promptly be thrown in the brig. Of course, your colleagues can take care of the job themselves, however due to the close contact with them, they will be the first to notice your prolonged absence.

Access to Medbay also grants you the ability to make some mean poisons in the Pharmacy or healing chemicals for yourself, it will also make it very easy to justify dragging corpses around, just say that you are bringing them to medbay or robotics while in reality you murder them the moment you are out of sight, all of this comes without the usual responsibility of doctors since peoples don't expect you to treat others.

Maintenance is also available to you, witch is perfect considering that's the best place to do your stuff out of sight and the tools you spawn with allow you to tinker with various devices.

Beginning

Your colleagues are usually problematic since they tend to notice weird behavior, also they are in close contact with the AI witch is the greatest detriment for every traitor, dealing with them in some way is advised.

Generally the best way, just implant them when no one is watching, if someone sees them fall (but not you implanting them) just say that they accidentally stabbed themselves or tried to drink anesthetic or anything really, the mindhack HAS to go along with your bullshit. You can only do this on one person if you want enough currency to buy the conversion chamber.

Flash and bash

Hacking the robotics fabricator that is in your workplace allows you to produce basically unlimited flashes, provided you have the materials. Just make some and then stun them the moment they are unprepared (it is recommended to be a rather robust player for this) then quickly debrain them, this is best to be done out of sight since it is usually hard to justify they wanted to be borged.

Poison

One of the few methods that won't consume Syndicate currency, but requires some chemical knowledge.

Neurotoxin is usually the best but a sleepy pen is too expensive so you have to be creative, for example put the toxin in a patch and rename it to Silver Sulfadiazine then ask your friend to hack the fabricators, since insulated gloves are not easily accessible they have a chance to get shocked, then apply the patch after they are done.

If they ask you why it is a man made patch simply say that you prepared the chemical just in case and put it there or that you were planning on doing something that might get you burned, after that they will slowly start to die because of the effects of the neurotoxin.

Another way is to give them a pill, this is a bit better since instead of releasing the toxin slowly it is inserted into the body in a instant, you can deceive them into taking the pill by renaming it to something such as Analgesic pill, just make sure the pill is colored correctly with the actual thing.

Of course the poison has a very high chance of being discovered, so drag them out the moment they start to fall.

There are other ways to remove your colleagues, and depending on the situation some methods can be used while some become unavailable, one of the greatest strengths of a good traitor is the ability to improvise.

If for some reason you don't want to kill the other roboticists then that's fine too, having someone else take care of the silicons will take the heat off your back since the work is still being done, also, later in this guide you should be able to do your stuff without ever having to leave robotics!

Use the syndicate frame

The Syndicate cyborg frame is very useful in this situation although it might take a while before you find a brain, when a cyborg is built with this they will have their laws modified to obey the traitors and maintain their identity a secret, witch is very helpful to you.

they also have the ability to see if someone is a traitor and they can tell you who they are (the secrecy law applies only to crew members) so that you might want to kill them coordinate with them

Midway

After you have dealt or not with the other roboticists, it is time to begin.

If your intention are to create a robot army then you should buy the conversion chamber, this dreadful machine looks and examines exactly like a normal cyborg pod BUT when a living person is inserted they come out as syndicate cyborgs ready to do your work.

Bringing victims here can be quite tricky but with practice you can get the hang of this.
