It's the old sprite for a bed, without any bedsheets (or anybody in it).
"Transparent" just means it's File:BedV2.png but with a transparent background, rather than a white one. (The colors look a little different, because this was extracted from the files, and the other appears to have been taken from a screenshot of a bed in a dimly-lit room.) The wiki generally prefers files with transparency rather than white backgrounds.
This is the second version of the bed sprite. The next version is at File:BedV3.png (it was transparent from the get-go.).
Who made this sprite? That is yet to be determined.
