It gains power with each hit, can switch between a stab and a sweep special, and most importantly looks frigging huge. This is specifically the sprite for when the sword is in swipe mode, which has a sweep special attack that does knockback, and when the sword is in low mode and has less than 50% of its maximum potential damage.
