I'm not on as much as usual but you're still free to ask me for anything (like pictures) that might be hard to get! --Conor12 (talk) 12:33, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks Conor, I will! --Convair880 (talk) 16:58, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

--MechComp Guide Images-- Okay, I've seen your reply on the Mechanic Talk page, and I'll do just that. I'll focus on making sure the guide itself gets done and is accurate, then I can try and get the accurate images (thanks for the placeholders though!). Supersonic576 (talk) 23:03, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

  • Relay Circut
  • OR Circut
  • Sound Synthesizer
  • LED Component
  • Chargeable Gun Component

Wow, thanks for the images! Supersonic576 (talk) 16:46, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

Re: Cryo tubes: indeed, I realized that last night, too. Made me feel like a big idiot. Amusing that the problem with leaving them on isn't the one everyone seems to think it is, though (the beakers being used up). --Zamujasa (talk) 11:49, 15 June 2014 (CDT)

Re: "butt" of plasma, that's the cloud-to-butt extension at work. Welp! --Zamujasa (talk) 08:36, 7 July 2014 (CDT)

Heyo I don't know if you can get more .gifs of the different loaf types. You can get them right? --Katznelson (talk) 20:18, 24 July 2014 (CDT)

Nope, I don't have access to the .dmi files and none of the prison loaf varieties (bar the basic one) can be spawned directly. --Convair880 (talk) 04:49, 26 July 2014 (CDT)

Heya. Do you guys discuss what's okay and what's too much information at irc or something before posting it? I'm debating with myself if to join. Not a big fan of irc and chatty stuff. Anyway, there's things lacking from the wiki like the pod cloak which I'm not sure if are omitted cause none got around to them, or cause you don't want to give too much away. (In the case of the cloak though, anyone who's played Op on a nuke round recently will be aware of it.) Let me know if I'm doing things wrong, you're The Wiki Guy as far as I'm concerned so listening to you. --Don (talk) 05:21, 4 August 2014 (CDT)

There is little communication between the handful of active wiki contributors, as far as I'm aware. I occasionally consult with Conor, but there aren't any public discussions going on in IRC (in #goonstation at least, but there are other channels), and you won't find me often in #goonstation anyway. If you want to leave me a message there, open a private chat with skybee and type ".tell Pistoleer [your message]". To check your inbox, type ".showtells". Keep your nickname the same.

As for official guidelines...there aren't really any, but you can follow mine if you agree with them. I'm hardly the ultimate authority on everything, though.

1) Please don't change these pages if you aren't an admin and use the respective talk pages instead. (This is the only quasi-official rule.)

2) Acknowledging the existence of secrets is fine, just use your own judgment to decide how much should be revealed. How powerful is the stuff? Should every detail be mentioned? How about a solid hint or two instead? Chemistry might be a good starting point to get a feel for it.

3) Avoid overly specific details, in particular the placement of items on the map or other things which may be subject to change or are irrelevant. "There are x items on the table in y department", "x civilian and x Miniputs are parked in the z hangar", "The ammo box contains x regular and y AP speedloaders"...who's gonna check and update this stuff on a regular basis? Nobody, so perhaps try to keep your text contributions reasonably broad and informative at the same time.

4) It's just my personal preference, but I'm not very fond of the Capitalization Syndrome and will eradicate all instances if I'm overhauling a page. Ore Processing vs. ore processing within a sentence and the like. --Convair880 (talk) 11:14, 4 August 2014 (CDT)

Thank you, those are solid guidelines I can get behind. --Don (talk) 11:55, 4 August 2014 (CDT)

I changed the titles on the wizard guide and thought I would have to change all the links referencing them. It turns out some automatically updated, but it was inconsistent. "EXTREMELY UNFORGIVABLE CURSES" were in upper caps on one page, and lower caps at another. Do you know if everything would've updated by itself if I had waited? --Don (talk) 05:14, 25 August 2014 (CDT)

Yeah, links aren't updated automatically. I was working on 'Doctoring', that's why the one link was still in upper caps. --Convair880 (talk) 05:37, 25 August 2014 (CDT)
