This page is under construction. The following information may be incomplete. You can help by adding missing information or formatting. |
The Pathology Lab is located south of medbay. This is where doctors do pathology research. It is, as of 9-21-2014, a very new addition and still under development so the contents of this page are incomplete.
Equipment
Synth-O-Matic
The Synth-O-Matic is a key element in creating cures for pathogens. Simply pop a vial of pathogen sample in this machine, add a beaker of each of the required reagents and initiate synthesis. But beware, if your reagents do not match the expected ones, you will wind up with an innocent-looking cure that infects people!
Pathogen Manipulator
The manipulator is a machine controlled from the adjacent computer. It can modify the attributes, the symptoms and the cure synthesis methods of a pathogen when used correctly. It is a great way to destroy pathogen samples when used incorrectly.
Pathology Research
The pathology research computer is the interface to the pathogen manipulator.
Autoclave
A bulky machine used for sanitizing pathogen growth equipment. Petri dishes which are dirty and incapable of growing pathogen must be cleaned in this before they can be used again.
Centrifuge
A large machine that can be used to separate a pathogen sample from a blood sample.
Petri Dish
A dish tailored to hold pathogen cultures. The dish is a small capacity container which, under the right circumstances, can cultivate pathogen.
Blood Slide
Pathogen samples in blood can be isolated from blood slides using the centrifuge.
Microscope
A device which provides a magnified view of a culture in a petri dish. The microscope is a key element in identifying the features of a pathogen, including the reagents required for a cure synthesis.
Vial
Holds pathogen samples or blood. Vials are small capacity containers, used primarily in the Synth-O-Matic and the pathogen manipulator.
