Advanced Laser Gun
You added the advanced laser gun to the Syndicate items article a couple of days ago - was this the 'glitchy' sprite () you were thinking about? I'm confused because there seem to be two sprites for this weapon ()...does it depend whether or not the RD ordered it to get the the special visuals? --Convair880 (talk) 18:07, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, add that sprite (), the gun starts with that sprite but it changes to after you put it in backpacks and mess with it at random points. Not sure exactly what causes this. --Conor12 (talk) 18:42, 23 June 2013 (UTC) Resolved anyway
British/American spelling
For space pods I noticed that very nice thing you did but the spelling: Armour vs Armor. British English vs American English. Your thoughts? I would like to consolidate into one grammar style. (Shameful person from America here!) --Katznelson (talk) 20:04, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
I'm from the UK. The players are split equally between the US and UK so that's a tough one! Use American English, since the servers are hosted in America. --Conor12 (talk) 21:04, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
We don't have no time to update poisons
I noticed your recent edit of the Syndicate items page, specifically the poison bottle. While there is technically nothing wrong with it, it might be a good idea to revert the change. We don't really have the man power to keep everything updated in a timely fashion and stuff like "x.x amount of damage" or "list of x chemicals" tends to gets outdated fairly quickly. That's why I generally try to avoid overly specific descriptions (like donk pockets and their seven reagents) unless it's required for the article in question, e. g. Doctoring. Personally, I also think it's more interesting if the Wiki doesn't reveal every detail outright...leaves more room for experimentation. --Convair880 (talk) 20:39, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
Well it wasn't a complete list, I just noticed someone buy 10 bottles of poison and took names from what I saw. I understand what you're saying so I'll revert it. It's not like many people would know what to do with the names. I'll change the example chemical though. --Conor12 (talk) 21:47, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
Prison Loaf Science
So Prison Loaf science is actually a real thing. Depending on how much people were thrown into the loaf maker it could come out normal or dense. Or in this case: "This is a strangelet loaf. It is a bulky item. You should probably call a priest." where it was jumping up and down like an emagged securitron and glowing purple. Should we implement a whole page for this shit because it was wacko --Katznelson (talk) 16:33, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
Looks like Convair already started something on the Foods page with some kind of loaf that looks like it has superpowers? I don't know much about prison loaf science, other than killing myself. Unless it's something really deep, it should probably go on the Foods page. Or be a secret. --Conor12 (talk) 20:07, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
Should not be a secret since everyone can make a superpowered loaf with the right amount of time. As far as I can tell their are 10 possibly more levels of loaf. I am documenting the various ways but currently I have 13 different level types. --Katznelson (talk) 00:52, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Then I think it'll be fine on the Foods page. --Conor12 (talk) 00:57, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Pictures
Congratulations on your promotion! I would appreciate if you could use your new admin powers to spawn and take pictures of the few items which are still missing illustrations on this page. Still trying, but getting a snapshot of e. g. an unattended, non-bloody hunting rifle on a tile with proper lighting is mostly down to luck for me. --Convair880 (talk) 19:24, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, I'd love to help, but spawning items is not a thing I can do yet. I am a baby admin. I'll help out if I ever get the power to spawn items. --Conor12 (talk) 19:27, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
I didn't expect you would go through every "x Items" page, so thanks for uploading most of the missing sprites! --Convair880 (talk) 10:16, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
No problem. It looks like the two of us finished the item pages well, hooray! --Conor12 (talk) 19:54, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
I'd like to hire our resident imagelorde for sweet pics of the remaining dudes on the job page. Ie spy, gangster, gang leader, zombie and furman. --Don (talk) 13:07, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
Well, I'd say the problem with spies and mobsters is that their appearance isn't uniform. I originally intended to update those along with the job of the day pictures, but couldn't come up with a visualization that made me think "Yes, this guy is a gang leader!" at a glance. For example, the in-hand sprites for the dagger and multi-use implanter aren't unique and a guy with a bloody suit plus knife could be any enemy role, really. Guess we'd have to brainstorm appropriate clothing/items combinations or something. --Convair880 (talk) 16:44, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
True, this is why you get the hard jobs. The single identifying thing about mobster is that they're mismatched, nonsensical wardrobe, we could roll with that? No idea about spies.
I am awful at the wiki, so excuse me if i'm doing this wrong, I have no idea how to "talk", so i'm just editing at the bottom, heh. Just an idea about the gang leader/gang member, make about 5 different gangs, then I'll make a .gif outta them if you want, it will take me a subtotal of 2 minutes. To distinguish a gang leader between gang member, maybe give the gang leader that purple suit and an afro. He'll look pretty pimpin' --Sundance (talk) 21:16, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
Oh and for the spy, you should leave it as a big question mark (he IS a spy afterall) once all the other jobs are complete so it looks unique to the spy and not just there because nobody knows what to add for it --Sundance (talk) 21:18, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
I'm fine with spies staying as a big ? and I'll get to the gang members, zombies and werewolves soon. --Conor12 (talk) 22:16, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
Well, I have the mobsters covered. A pimp-type leader (Sundance's suggestion) and his minion is a party princess. Hopefully, the attire is sufficiently outrageous. Regarding the spy: I agree, just keep the silhouette with the question mark. --Convair880 (talk) 13:45, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
The gangsters look great. --Conor12 (talk) 22:38, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
Spacker Images
I've been trying to capture a suitable snapshot of the Spacker-12 for awhile, but no luck so far. Perhaps you could help me again? To be precise, I'm trying to finish the minor picture overhaul (e.g. item and the container it comes in) on the Syndicate items page. --Convair880 (talk) 19:02, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
File:Spackerbox.png Done! --Conor12 (talk) 22:05, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
Nice, thanks! --Convair880 (talk) 22:20, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
halp my pictures no work
I'm trying to update two files, but the wiki refuses to cooperate for some reason. Cleared my browser cache and double-checked in IE...nothing. Had no problems on other occasions. Any idea what's going on? --Convair880 (talk) 18:04, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
Ahahah, oh boy that happened to me once too and confused the hell out of me. I assume you have exactly the same problem. When you update the image, to EVERYONE ELSE it looks updated, but for you it looks like the old image (though the image's width and height might change and stretch). All you can do is assume that the image updated. It'll go back to normal if you check it a few/several hours later. --Conor12 (talk) 18:40, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
Hmm...I think the issue you described is the one I can fix by simply reloading the page. But now it's almost a day later, I have a new IP and everything and yet the two pictures still look the same. Even checked the pages on another computer. What's the situation on your end, can you see the new versions as the most recent change? --Convair880 (talk) 10:49, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
The botany one changed, I see a cargo pad, and some guy and a monkey, and three crates appeared to the left of the disposal bin. The tourist one changed but then you reverted it back into my one. But on the actual Botanist page I see my one, oh damn. --Conor12 (talk) 16:20, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
Ok so I got Botany.jpg to update on the Botanist page. I blame the thumbnails. --Conor12 (talk) 16:35, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
Er, I didn't revert to your version, honestly! Just look at the screenshot. Over here, the two pictures (resp. their latest version) are still exactly the same everywhere with the exception of the Botanist thumbnail. I'm about to give up and just upload the stuff under new file names. --Convair880 (talk) 16:46, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

I swear it looked that way to me. Ugh, these darn bugs. I should probably ask for more wiki access. A new file name will work. --Conor12 (talk) 18:13, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
Who hosts the wiki, erotic dad? Perhaps you could also mention our problem, maybe it's a known bug with this version of MediaWiki. From what I can tell, we are still using 1.19.2, a somewhat older release. --Convair880 (talk) 10:29, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
Will do. --Conor12 (talk) 20:25, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
The wiki eventually processed the files...after three days. So updating images doesn't seem to be totally broken. --Convair880 (talk) 10:45, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
I take that back, the new batch of pictures is still fubar. Got some instances working by messing with the thumbnails, but not everywhere. This state of affairs is quite irritating to say the least. Please talk to erotic dad about our little problem, we shouldn't have to use new file names for every minor revision. --Convair880 (talk) 20:19, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

Ugh, deleting the old and moving the new image into the old name DID NOT WORK. I'm really busy currently so I haven't had much time to think of a solution. --Conor12 (talk) 15:24, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, let's not waste any more time on this. From now on, I'll just abandon my attempts to update images, use new file names and call it a day. --Convair880 (talk) 10:45, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
Bombtastic
As requested: http://pastebin.com/Tj5afAxW --Convair880 (talk) 21:18, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. Got started on this. The bomb didn't work but I was sharing the toxins chamber at the time and screwed up my gas mix (really cold). Not enough to post about really so I'll have to attempt it later. --Conor12 (talk) 22:36, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
Well, no success on my end either. Still 1x1 regardless of my mix, including 340k° C plasma. --Convair880 (talk) 14:39, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
You said I could bother you
Hello! As you may have noticed, I did Some Stuff on my user page and there are still a number of blank spots...quite a lot actually. Here's the thing: you shouldn't have to upload (much less edit) all of this crap yourself. I don't know if you have received your promotion yet or not, but it might be easiest to let me know on IRC when you can spare ~30 min. Hop on #2 or whatever, spawn the items at Centcom for screenshots and do some ballistic testing with me. In any case, this is the list at the moment:
- Guns
- AK-774
- RPG
- All of the phaser extensions. Dunno if there are more than seven.
- Ammo
- .22 mag
- .22 box (from a hacked autolathe)
- .38 AP
- .357 FMJ
- .357 AP
- .41 box
- Flare box
- AK mag
- .308 mag
- RPG rocket (Is there more than one?)
- Other
- Can flares be used in a shotgun?
- Does the AK pierce armour?
- Does the hunting rifle pierce armour?
- Need correct names for the RPG and the rocket.
- Check mag capacity of: amplified vuvuzela, advanced laser.
You may be wondering about the AK. Well, it's actually possible for players to acquire it without admin intervention (it's at the same telescience destination as the 40mm HE grenades). Contrariwise, obscure weapons like the railgun are not on the list! I'm aware that Mr. Average probably can't get spare .41 RF ammo anywhere, but it has been included for the sake of completion. Other entries are there for the purpose of double-checking, e.g. I'm very certain that the missing .38/.357 speedloaders use the same sprite and the .22 box looks like the old revolver ammo box - but I'm just not 100% sure! Well, you probably know by now that I'd like to be thorough.
Anyways, I'd appreciate if you could lend me a hand again. You're a nice chap! --Convair880 (talk) 11:45, 16 February 2014 (UTC)
