The solar arrays (located on either side of the station) provide a great deal of power once properly configured. This task can be handled by the AI in the first few minutes of any given round, which is great when the Engineers have no clue how to do their job. They're also a single wire snip away from sabotage so they should not be relied on completely in lieu of the Thermo-Electric Generator.
Each Solar Array has a corresponding control computer and SMES unit. The computer can be set to keep the arrays stationary, rotating by time, or to automatically track. The best setting is Auto. The SMES input should be set no higher than the power registered on the computer (and possible lower as it will fluctuate), and the output even lower than that.
The Aft Solar Array room also doubles as an atmospherics department. Should the air in the surrounding departments go bad for whatever reason, fresh air can be piped in from here.
